Your responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Quality Lead in managing daily QA/QC activities, including reviewing and correcting manufacturing and compliance records to ensure error-free documentation packs for customers
- Proactively identify and address quality non-compliance issues at their root cause, collaborating with production, engineering, and planning teams for resolution
- Lead daily efforts to reduce Cost of Non-Quality (COPQ) and rework, reporting via SQCDP boards to senior management.
- Ensure over 98% on-time completion of WIP movement, process contract reviews, and quality reviews.
Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:
- 3+ years proven experience working as a Quality Engineer / Quality Control / Quality Assurance within a precision engineering environment
- Understanding of basic core quality tools - PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA (desirable but not essential)
- Knowledge of Problem Solving and RCCA
- Internal Auditor qualification would be advantageous
- Experience of maintaining, improving and developing QMS'
- Ability to work off own initiative in a fast paced, ever changing environment
- Strong interpersonal skills
