EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a skilled Part Marker to join a precision engineering company located in North Nottingham, working permanently.


Due to the nature of the work & industries supported within this position, candidates may be subject to requiring security clearances, therefore, our client is unable to support visa applications from residents outside of the UK. Only applications meeting this criteria will be considered.

  • Overtime is available at premium rates (x1.5 after 39 hours and x2 on Sundays)

Your responsibilities include:

  • As a Part Marker, you will be producing a legible part/batch number and issuing a status on parts by means of vibro, ink or electrolytic
  • You will need to ensure all markings comply with the correct specifications using only approved materials, tools and machinery
  • You will keep tools and machinery well maintained and in good order whilst working in a safe manner in order to satisfy Health & Safety legislation and to avoid accidents or injury to people, machinery or property.
  • You will need to comply with the requirements of maintaining the identification of material, treatments and the finished product, to ensure traceability through the manufacturing route and delivery back to the material source.

​​​​Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:​​​​ ​​​​​
  • An ability to follow procedures and protocols
  • A keen eye for detail to be able to read engineering drawings
  • Good basic literacy and numeracy skills
  • Previous experience of engraving, and marking parts would be preferable but not essential
  • Experience of working on a shop floor/manufacturing/laboring or similar environment
