CNC Miller Programmer (743)

EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a skilled CNC Miller Programmer to join a precision engineering company located in Nottingham, working on a permanent basis.

Due to the nature of the work & industries supported within this position, candidates may be subject to requiring security clearances, therefore, our client is unable to support visa applications from residents outside of the UK. Only applications meeting this criteria will be considered.

EMBS Engineering is currently representing an SME that specialises in the manufacture of small to medium-sized precision components, supplying various industry sectors such as Aerospace, Nuclear, Automotive, Oil & Gas, etc.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Strong background in precision engineering machining complex parts for precision industries including Aerospace, Motorsport, Nuclear, MOD, Oil and Gas, among others
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in setting, operating, and programming multi-axis CNC machines using both online and offline controls
  • Offline programming experience with Fusion 360 and/or EdgeCAM
  • Online programming expertise with Fanuc and/or HAAS
  • Confident with machining Aluminium, Stainless Steel, and Titanium

Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience setting, operating and editing CNC Milling machines
  • Previously worked on multi-axis machines - 4 &/or 5 axis
  • Knowledge of Mazak & Haas machines would be advantageous but not essential
  • Confidence using Fanuc controls 
  • Competence using manual measuring equipment such as; verniers, micrometers, calipers
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Previous experience machining high profile / complex machined components, supplied into either the Aerospace, Motorsport, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Defence, Medical or Petrochemical industries.
