EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a skilled Senior CNC Team Leader to join a precision engineering company located in Derby, working on a permanent basis.

Due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents, and DBS checks will be required. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Your responsibilities include:


As a Senior Machinist or Team Leader in CNC machining, your pivotal role ensures smooth operations and meeting customer demands. Here's how you can effectively fulfill responsibilities:

Support Production Manager: Assist in operations and communication
Lead Teams: Ensure quality, cost, and delivery goals are met
Drive Improvement: Promote innovation and process enhancements
Meet Targets: Ensure daily and company production targets are achieved
Collaborate Cross-functionally: Work with other teams to meet customer needs
Manage Shifts: Coordinate handovers and resolve issues promptly
Prioritize Safety: Reduce accidents, follow regulations
Team Accountability: Manage performance and development
Maintain Systems: Keep documentation and processes up to date


Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:
 
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven CNC Team Leader, Cell Leader, or Machining Supervisor experience within CNC Milling and/or CNC Turning
  • Background in machining small to medium-sized precision components for industries like Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, or Medical sectors
  • Track record of hitting team targets in quality, cost, and delivery standards
  • Previous experience training, mentoring, and developing your team/others including PDPs, operating within a skill matrix format
  • Understanding of health and safety/housekeeping standards within an engineering/manufacturing environment
  • Successful implementation of continuous improvement plans for cost reduction, productivity, quality, and safety
