NDT Technician - Level 2 (734)

EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for an NDT Technician to join a precision engineering company located in Nuneaton, working on a permanent basis.

Due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents, and DBS checks will be required. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Our client manufactures small to medium-sized complex precision components for high-profile customers within a wide range of market-leading Aerospace and Defence companies, therefore, we require a Level 2 NDT Technician to join their existing talent team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting NDT using MPI and DPI processes 
  • Ensuring NDT processes are in line with customer requirements and specifications
  • Develop and document NDT Techniques with a view to improving and constantly evolve  
  • Compile and support related documentation
 

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong background within precision engineering environments such as aerospace, defense, nuclear, marine or Rolls Royce / Siemens markets
  • NDT Level 2 PCN in MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection) and DPI (Dye Penetrant Inspection)
  • NAS410 / EN4179 / NADCAP experience 
  • Knowledge of different DPI & MPI Techniques
  • Experienced inspecting fabricated and / or machined components 
  • Special processes experience within coatings and paint 
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Ability to to check and inspect / measure components using manual measuring equipment
  • Proficient IT skills including MS-Office 
  • Understanding of  Six Sigma, 5Ys, 5s, and Continuous Improvement principles
  • Confident updating quality systems
