Shipping & Logistics Coordinator (730)

EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a Shipping Coordinator/Administrator to join a precision engineering company located in Tamworth working on a permanent basis.

Due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents, and DBS checks will be required. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Our client manufactures small to medium-sized complex precision components for high-profile customers within a wide range of market-leading companies, therefore, we require a Shipping Coordinator/Administrator to join their existing talent team. As a Shipping Coordinator/Administrator you will play an integral part of the business by supporting the logistics and shipping team to ensure parts are delivered on time and in full.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Talk to freight forwarders to manage incoming and outgoing freight
  • Support delivery performance to ensure best practices are being followed
  • Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure deliveries are made on time
  • Update order management systems 
  • Prepare all relevant documentation required
  • Manage all associated shipping paperwork
  • Support the Shipping & Logistics Team in a variety of different work
 

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Minimum 3 years administration experience
  • Engineering, manufacturing, logistics or supply chain background
  • Ability to multi task and deal with changing demands
  • High attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Packages
