EMBS Engineering has been requested by a leading precision engineering SME that specialises in the manufacture, through fabrication and machining, medium-sized, complex components for high-profile industries including Aerospace, Defence and Power to name a few.

Following recent internal changes, our client is seeking an Operations Manager to join the business on a permanent basis. This person will be overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing operations.
The successful person will be responsible for site-level operational activities for circa 100 people and 6 direct reports, and longer-term performance improvement projects including;

Following recent internal changes, our client is seeking an Operations Manager to join the business on a permanent basis. This person will be overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing operations.
The successful person will be responsible for site-level operational activities for circa 100 people and 6 direct reports, and longer-term performance improvement projects including;
- Sales Input
- Business Processes & Operational Excellence
- Financial Performance - budget management etc.
- Execution of Business Strategy
Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:
- Strong precision engineering / advanced manufacturing background
- Ideally worked within the aerospace / defence / power would be advantageous
- An understanding of fabrication, assembly and/or machining processes
- Held an Operational Management position previously
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational excellence initiatives
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve common goals
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other relevant methodologies is a plus
