What does the role involve?
EMBS Engineering is currently working in partnership with a well-established, advanced manufacturing engineering business located in Derbyshire. The client offers a single source service to world-leading customers across various industries such as Aerospace, Nuclear & Power.
Currently, our client is seeking a proficient Mechanical Assembler to become a valued member of their team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will be responsible for assembling mechanical components with precision, following assembly drawings closely. You will perform pressure testing on assembled components to ensure their quality and reliability. Additionally, the role entails conducting manual machining operations as required and proficiently utilizing hand and air-powered tools to complete assembly tasks.

What experience do you need?
- Previous experience in mechanical assembly
- Essential in Defense, Aerospace, or Nuclear industries
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting assembly drawings
- Ability to perform pressure testing manual machining operations
- Experience with hand and air-powered tools
- Familiarity with the use of manual lathes is essential
- Prior experience in toolmaking or machine building/fitting is advantageous
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and quality consciousness
- Permanent position
- Hourly rate: from £17 per hour
- Days with early finish Fridays
