EMBS Engineering is working with a precision engineering company located in Nottinghamshire that is a specialist in machining and fabricating small to medium-complex components for a variety of lucrative industry sectors including; Aerospace, Automotive, Sub Sea, Defence just to name a few. Due to the recent growth within the company, our client is looking for a MRP / Production Controller to join them on a permanent basis. 

Key Responsibilities 
  • Maintaining an accurate order book, generating the Master Production Schedule and a three-month financial plan, as well as closing and filing work orders for auditing purposes
  • Running weekly Material Resource Planning, communicating production plans to Operations, and producing expedite reports for effective part management
  • Monitoring and reporting sales performance, interpreting customer demand, and evaluating Contract Review documentation are crucial aspects of the position
  • Act as the primary contact for customer liaison, assist in recovery program preparation, and prioritise workload in accordance with customer and company policies
  • Attending production meetings to provide updates on parts and continuously identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. 
  • Ensuring compliance with internal and external quality standards, liaising with clients on supply and demand, and providing weekly progress reports to the Operations Manager are integral components of this multifaceted role

What experience do you need? 
  • Strong background in a similar position - MRP Controller, Production Controller, Production Planner, MRP Planner, Planning Coordinator, etc. demonstrating expertise in production and supply chain management
  • Previous experience in engineering within a dynamic manufacturing environment is essential
  • Ability to engage in strategic planning, allocate resources efficiently, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders is crucial
  • Proficiency in production planning, forecasting, and a strong command of tools such as MS Excel and MRP Systems is required
  • The capacity to work well under pressure, be well organised and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is crucial
