ENGINEERING ESTIMATOR

Location - Derbyshire
Position - Permanent
Salary - £40-45k per annum

About the role

EMBS Engineering is working in close partnership with an exciting, well-established business that is in the market to secure a new Engineering Estimator to join their business on a permanent basis.

Our client is renowned for their high-end manufacturing capabilities, supporting some of the markets leading customers within Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Defence and Aerospace development.

With strong order books across multiple clients who they have long-standing relationships with, this opportunity presents the chance to work on/with complex, challenging and interesting components for a high-profile precision engineering company located in Derbyshire.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

• Responsibility for the company’s tenders and maintaining good records on all tender opportunities
• Develop strong, long term relationships with customers
• Develop new leads and sales opportunities 
• Manage projects and be the first point of contact for any customer sales queries 
• Ensure customer expectations are met through timely and accurate completion of quotations
• Responsible for following the company’s contract review process and keeping internal systems up to date
• Ensure all customer requirements are understood and managed accordingly
• Preparation of works instructions that clearly define the manufacturing process for production staff and generation of clear BOM\'s (bill of materials)
• Identifying ways to standardise the quotation process to improve speed of production and accurate repetition
• Providing post-sales support for the business through a mix of customer visits customers to discuss performance and requirements and second-line customer services to both manufacturing and quality departments
• Work towards the company set objectives, KPIs and growth plans 

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate:

• Precision engineering / manufacturing background
• Previously worked with complex parts for precision industries including Aerospace, Motorsport, Nuclear, MOD, Oil & Gas etc
• Demonstrable experience of working in a similar role
• Commitment to developing strong, long term relationships with customers
