CNC Machinist - Setter/Operator

What does the role involve?
EMBS Engineering is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering business that specialises in the manufacture of small to medium sized, complex, safety-critical components for a number of market-leading OEM's within high profile markets.
Located in Northampton, due to increased orders, our client is looking to recruit skilled CNC Millers and CNC Turners to join their business on a permanent basis. 

Responsibilities include:

• Run proven programs, adjust work and/or tool co-ordinates and correct any errors
• Set tools and produce a ‘First Off’ part to correct quality standard
• Carry out 1st off inspection from engineering drawings and update paperwork
• Ensure the cell output is made to the agreed schedules
• Ensure the quality of the machine output is to required specification
• Apply machine maintenance as per schedules

What experience do you need?

• Proven CNC Milling or CNC Turning experience
• Strong capabilities in setting and operating multi-axis (3 & 4) CNC Milling or CNC Turning using Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls
• Previous background of machining small to medium sized precision components for high profile industries including; Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Medical or any other advanced manufacturing sectors
• Comfortable performing multiple set ups per day
• Confidence in performing self inspection of parts using manual measuring equipment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Worked with small to medium batch sizes
