QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER - SHEFFIELD, PERMANENT!

 

EMBS Engineering is representing one of our prestigious partners by bringing to market a new Quality Assurance Engineering vacancy for their site in Sheffield.

Our client is a leading manufacturing business that specialises in producing complex, detailed components for a range of industries including aerospace, nuclear and others. 

Due to continued growth and new project wins, they are looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Creation of Data Cards
  • Generation of FAIRS and associated documentation, including liaising with customers
  • Carry out Root Cause and Corrective Actions, Problem Solving using techniques such as 8D, 5Y
  • Assist in the generation of rework and sanctioning Non-Conformance
  • Carry out internal audits and existing audits 
  • Assist in PPAP, APQP and generation of PFMEA, Control Plans, Inspection Plans
  • Supporting the Zero Defects programme
  • Review and amend internal and external specifications and drawings
  • Liaise with suppliers 

 

Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong Quality background
  • Previous experience working within a precision engineering environment where parts have been manufactured through machining or fabrication processes
  • Ideally knowledge of working with parts for Aerospace, Nuclear, Oil & Gas or other similar industry sectors
  • Strong understanding of various quality tools and techniques including PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, 8D, 5Y etc.
  • Knowledge and working experience of FAIRs
  • Strong communications skills with the ability to liaise with customers, suppliers and various level stakeholders
  • Ability to carry out internal audits and support external supplier audits
  • Knowledge of Zero Defects
