Lead Sales Engineer - Advanced Manufacturing up to £50,000 + Bonus

Having recruited a number of highly talented engineers across the business to deliver new orders and project work, it is now time to grow the Sales function.  As such we are looking for a Senior / Lead Sales Engineer or Sales Manager with the capabilities to manage and convert sales opportunities, open up and build new relationships, lead and potentially grow a team of sales engineers.

Reporting into the business owner and Head of Sales, you will work closely with these stakeholders to formulate better sales and marketing strategies. You will develop an understanding of business opportunities with new prospects and engage with existing customers, re-igniting contact with older / legacy customers and proactively responding to inbound sales enquiries with agility, professionalism and skill. 

 

Working with the Sales Engineers you’ll support, train, coach and develop them, helping them to translate engineering knowledge and experience into proposals, quotes, costs and bids that will result in new business wins. 

 

The ideal candidate will be working in a Senior Sales role within an advanced manufacturing business. You will be familiar with working in a ‘make to order’ environment. While you’ll have a technical head on your shoulders, your interests will be more sales focused. You will be more motivated by a desire to establish new customer relationships, leaving the engineering detail for your team to deliver.
