As mentioned previously, since the business is such a global force within the manufacturing industry, there will be plenty of opportunities for you to be cross-trained on other elements within the design sector. Also, there is a direct, further development within the role of a design engineer. You could be a TECHNICAL LEAD should you choose to pursue your development in that direction. Successful applicants must demonstrate the following:


>Ability to fully be conversant in using 3D CAD software (CATIA V5 onwards or Completed training in CATIA and having expert experience using SOLIDWORKS), to produce accurate complex solid models, component detail drawings, assembly drawings and customer installation drawings.

>Ability to demonstrate strong precision engineering background with HNC or HND qualifications as a minimum

>Ability to demonstrate strong composite design knowledge & experience

>Ability to use FEA software, to undertake stress analysis calculations.

>Ability to compile concise specifications for test, development, and validation of components and assemblies.

>Ability to monitor the total cost of components and assemblies in order to ensure the most cost-effective production route is

>Experienced in supporting the New Product Introduction process of a new product into manufacturing through liaison with other

>Ability to use and apply GD&T in the creation of accurate production drawings

>Strong experience within AEROSPACE or AUTOMOTIVE is ESSENTIAL!!!

>Working Hours:  7.30am - 4pm Monday to Thursday 7.30 am - 1.30pm Friday (38 hours)

>25 days holiday plus 8 Bank holidays
Must reserve 3 – 4 days for between Christmas and New Year (depending on the calendar)
